The partnership will bring safe drivers high discounts and other benefits. For instance, just by enrolling in the Drive Safe & Save program, the drivers can save 10% on their insurance.
Furthermore, based on their driving habits, the discounts can go to 15% and up. What makes it different from other usage-based insurance products is that it can be integrated with Ford’s onboard computer system.
The New Program Brings Many Advantages and High Discounts
The new solution adjusts clients’ premiums to their cars’ mileage and their driving habits. Most importantly, it will use Ford’s onboard connected technology to acquire these metrics.
The Illinois-based insurance company states that this integration is entirely voluntary and will make users’ lives much easier. Namely, it doesn’t need a phone app or a standalone plug-in device. Furthermore, it will collect driving data much more efficiently and precisely. In doing so, it could increase their auto insurance savings.
The Initial Discount for Enrolling Is 10%
State Farm stated that car owners will get a 10% discount just for enrolling. Furthermore, based on their driving habits, the discounts can go between 10% and 15% and even higher. This option is available to all State Farm customers that drive a suitable Ford or Lincoln from the 2020 model years or newer.
This Option Will Not Be Available in California, Massachusetts and Rhode Island
State Farm’s representatives say that Drive Safe & Save will make its debut in Montana, Oregon, Alaska, and Idaho.
In addition, other states will be included soon. Unfortunately, drivers in California, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island won’t be able to participate in this program.
