Ultimate Kronos Group, a company that provides employee management solutions to clients such as Tesla, Puma, and the YMCA, has released a statement on Sunday saying that it has become a victim of a ransomware attack.
It has affected its cloud-based services such as healthcare extensions, banking scheduling solutions, and UKG TeleStaff.
Clients Can’t Access Payroll, Timesheets, or Manage Their Workforce
The company stated that it may take weeks to resolve the issue and advised its clients to look for alternatives. The attack has affected Kronos Private Cloud services like healthcare extensions, UKG TeleStaff, and banking scheduling solutions.
At the moment, it seems that services such as UKG Pro or UKG Ready, which are housed in separate environments, are not affected by the attack. The company did not reveal what went wrong with its ransomware protection.
Kronos Workforce Central Is Used by Several Prominent Companies
The software consists of an entourage of workforce organization solutions for attendance and time, absence management, scheduling, payment, etc. They were created specifically for industries to help manage their staff on a cloud platform.
The most famous clients are Tesla, Puma, and the YMCA. Unfortunately, cloud platforms’ popularity has made them one of the most tempting targets, according to ransomware statistics.
